About ExamSource
A reference for India's entrance examinations, built on the principle that a date is worth nothing without the notice it came from.
Why this exists
Search for an exam date in India and you will find a dozen sites that agree with each other and none that say where the figure came from. Some are right. Some are last year’s. From the outside they are indistinguishable, and a candidate who acts on the wrong one misses an examination.
The difference here is not that we are more careful — it is that you can check. Every date links to the notice it was read from, carries the line it appeared on, and records when a person last confirmed it.
What we cover
We currently track 44 examinations across 19 authorities, reading 17 official sources. Those numbers are read live from our own database, not typed into this page.
Coverage grows one authority at a time. Where we do not yet cover something, the page says so rather than leaving a reader to assume the absence means there is nothing to report.
How it works
We read the authorities’ own sites daily, extract labelled values from the notices they publish, and put every one in front of a person before it appears. The methodology page describes each step, and the review queue shows what is currently waiting.
What we do not do
- We do not guess. Where an authority has announced nothing, we say so instead of publishing a plausible date.
- We do not republish whole documents. Question papers, coaching notes and textbooks stay linked at source, not hosted here. For one exam so far, we transcribe individual previous-year questions to text — the question, its options and the official answer, nothing else from the paper — and every question links back to the source paper and the official answer key it was checked against. Each question states whether that check was done by a person or by matching it against the answer key automatically; the first batch was the latter, and says so.
- We only use what an authority has published openly. Material an authority has chosen not to make public stays that way, even where it would be useful to us.
- We are not affiliated with any authority. ExamSource is independent of NTA, JoSAA, CSAB, the boards and every institution named on this site.
