Union Public Service Commission
The Union Public Service Commission is a constitutional body — Article 315 of the Constitution — that recruits for the central government services. It began in 1926 and took its present form in 1950, and works from Dholpur House in New Delhi. Its best-known examination is the Civil Services Examination, which selects for the IAS, IPS and the Indian Foreign Service among others across a preliminary stage, a written stage and an interview spread over roughly a year; it also conducts the Engineering Services Examination, the Combined Defence Services and National Defence Academy examinations, and the Combined Medical Services Examination.
We hold no UPSC notices yet, so there are no dates on this page. What is above describes the organisation; it is not a record of anything it has published. Its official site is the place to check until that changes.
