Question 39
Two identical long current carrying wires are bent into the shapes shown in the following figures (I: two long straight parallel wires carrying current I in opposite directions, joined by a semicircular arc of radius r centred at P; II: a long straight wire carrying current I turning into a semicircular arc of radius r centred at Q, then continuing as a long straight wire). If the magnitude of magnetic fields at the centres P and Q of a semicircular arc are B₁ and B₂ respectively, then the ratio B₁/B₂ is ____.
- A. (2+π)/(1+π)Correct answer
- B. (1+π)/(1−π)
- C. (2+π)/(1−π)
- D. (1+π)/(2−π)
